Late enough to be found at Big Ten Curve in afternoon light, Number 5 ascends the Front Range, June 2015. Flooding along the BNSF in Nebraska made this image possible.

Take note of the consist, as it should be for the CA Zephyr:

- Baggage
- Superliner Trans Dorm/Sleeper
- THREE Superliner Coaches
- Superliner Sightseer Lounge
- Superliner Diner
- THREE Superliner Sleepers (bringing up the rear)

This was the typical CA Zephyr consist from May to Nov. I was onboard the CA Zephyr for Halloween in 2015 and was in the third sleeper (last car of the train).

I enjoyed being in that last sleeper and having access to the railfan window.  Those were good times for the California Zephyr.
