Passenger Trains > Venture Cafe CarsDate: 05/24/23 18:45 Venture Cafe Cars Author: amtrakbill Any word when these cars will be delivered and put into service? Amtrak mentioned they should start showing up the first quarter of 2023 but have been seen yet
Where are they and what is the delay? Posted from iPhone Date: 05/24/23 19:48 Re: Venture Cafe Cars Author: M-636 At least one on the property in Chicago at the moment. Scuttle butt is they plan on a Fall deployment.

Actually, how do we know that the married pair Coaches have been delivered/put into service? Converting couplers and gangways becomes an issue only if married pair Coaches have been put into service as singles. I am not sure I at least know for sure that any have been put into service. There were a significant number of single Coaches in the order. In any case, I don;t know the answer to your first question or to my question. Without those it is merely the blind leading the deaf ;) Date: 05/26/23 01:19 Re: Venture Cafe Cars Author: 2904 Plenty of married coaches are in service. No cafes have been delivered. Strictly Business class cars have been though.

Date: 05/26/23 12:54 Re: Venture Cafe Cars Author: steve4031 I have taken a few trips on the venture cars. I think some of them may have been married pairs because of the way the gangway between the cars was wider and completely enclosed. I will be riding to Chi-Stl on Sunday. What should I look for to confirm that my train had married pairs of cars?
