Passenger Trains > Photos at Hastings-on-Hudson, NY on May 26th 2023

This past Friday, I decided to railfan the Metro North pm rush hour at Hastings-on-Hudson Station. As the days get closer to summer solstice, the lighting on sunny days is actually pretty good for northbounds in the late afternoon/early evening at Hastings-on-Hudson. That is a benefit if you want to photograph Metro North Genesis hauled train since the power is almost always on the north end of the consist.

1. Northbound MNR Train # 841 with MNR P32AC-DM # 212 in the lead

2 and 3. I got very lucky and saw this southbound M3A consist deadhead toward Grand Central Terminal.

16. Flashback to when the MNR FL9s were still around-this time, MNR P32AC-DM # 708 in the red, blue, and silver wrapped heritage colors leads northbound Train # 847 past the depot.

17. The wrap on this unit is in honor of MNR's 40th Anniversary

18. A solid set of blue center door Shoreliners make up the consist of Train # 847.

19-20. Amtrak/NYSDOT P32AC-DM # 703 leads northbound Amtrak Empire Service Train # 237 past the Hastings-on-Hudson depot.

41. An Amfleet I cafe/business class car(only for coach seating, I believe) is trailing on Amtrak Train # 239
