Passenger Trains > New Wheels, and New Asphalt

Shiny and new was the order of the day when Amtrak's Coast Starlight sliced across Horton Street, in the industrial district south of downtown Seattle tongiht.

Charger 322, one of the newer or the new units, was pulling train 14, and the crossing itself was new.

BNSF crews replaced all four tracks, installed new concrete panels, and new asphalt just before Memorial Day last month.

Horton Street sees a lot of car and truck traffic, and for now, it's smooth sailing for motorists.
