Service Disruption - Empire Builders of June 2

Train #8/28 and Train #7/27 that departed their terminals on June 2 are entering the Hi Line - still moving - but posting as a "service disruption." Anyone know what's going on?

Also, #8/28 that departed Portland/Seattle on June 1 made it through Minot despite what should have been crew rest issues/delays from #7/27 of June 1 arriving late into Minot. Seems to have NOT gotten delayed. Issue being train #7/27 of June 1 left Chicago nearly 2.5 hours late (had to do a last minute equipment swap) and was nearly 4 hours late into Minot. Still running 4 hours late (into Spokane).

Per posts on a FB group - sounds like a washout on the Milk River subdivison.

That's the subdivision between Glasgow and Haver, MT. Yikes! Let's hope for a bus bridge or a fix.......These trains are running full!

I'm on 7(1), now passing through Harrington, WA and still significantly late. To me it's a win though, having never before seen the Spokane-Wenatchee part of this route in daylight from the train. Correct, we were 2-1/2 hours late out of CUS due to an unexplained equipment swap, exacerbated by some last-minute repairs to the toilets on the Seattle coach and then being stuck in Metra's rush hour at least as far as Glenview. Grand Forks to Minot also had a lot of slow running for some reason.

Milling about on the Spokane platform earlier one of the attendants referenced the washout, allegedly somewhere east of Havre, which must have happened not long after we made it past. There was a lot of water on the ground from maybe Glasgow west and plenty more coming down; the accompanying lightning was a great show but apparently knocked out some signals. The conductor mentioned having to be talked past one signal and running was generally slow until Shelby or so.

Full consist: two new-model locomotives, baggage 7, transition sleeper 7, two sleepers 7, coach 7, observation-lounge 27, two coaches 27, sleeper 27.

According to Amtrak alerts, 8 will terminate at Shelby and 7 at Minot, due to 'inclement weather'. Forecast for Glasgow MT  is 70 deg and sunny, Havre 64 deg with a few showers. Washout not mentioned.

Will they flip their numbers and turn back as operating trains? What happens to "through passengers" on both trains trains trying to navigate between Shelby and Minot???

Bus Bridge, but that had to of been bad if they had to terminate 7 and 8 and switch consists around no thanks to  that if the flooding was really bad!
