Passenger Trains > Today's Amtrak #8

1. Station stop at Belton, Montana (West Glacier). Unstaffed station but assistant conductor opened baggage car door for boarding passengers to load bicycles.
2. Amtrak Empire Builder #8 roars past one of two remaining scenic signs erected many years ago for passengers on the GN Empire Builder and Western Star passenger trains to enjoy the views of Glacier National Park peaks. This sign still stands near Nyack, between Belton and Essex on the BNSF Hi-Line Subdivision.

Nice pics of no. 8!

Looks  pretty  easy  to  restore  that  sign if  anyone  cares.  Signs  along  ATSF (BNSF. in New  Mexico, also.   Around  Raton.
