Passenger Trains > 48(14) 2 hour hit after leaving Chicago,ILDate: 09/15/23 08:09 48(14) 2 hour hit after leaving Chicago,IL Author: 48fan Good morning
48 apparently has 4 engines , I heard the 109 failed , But why 4 ? Just moving some engines to Boston or are they preparing for Sunday’s or Monday’s 49 with extra private cars ? Then they had some kind of fault. Hour & 45 minute hit. AAPRCO autumn Explorer is in two weeks, maybe the engines are being moved to Albany for that? Kinda early though. Maybe 164 went east to be used on the special.

Is it me - or is it kinda interesting that Beech Grove is doing contract work for CTDOT, LOSSAN..... Yet they can't get their own equipment together. Yes, that's SO mission driven - lets see.....take in taxpayer money that's supposed to be used to operate a national passenger rail system....but instead operate a half baked passenger rail system thats collapsing due to a lack of capacity (due to inoperable stored cars) - but lets fix cars and locomotives for other agencies and let our riders and the public be damned. Makes perfect sense to me! Who exactly is watching this asylum??? Date: 09/16/23 04:33 Re: 48(14) 2 hour hit after leaving Chicago,IL Author: robj Long term contract?
