Passenger Trains > Charlotte, NC CATS Lynx Blue Line Shop Tour

Today, the Charlotte, NC light rail system known as Lynx, which is part of CATS (Charlotte Area Transit System) was gracious to give a small group of us a private tour of their main shop facilities. What a fascinating place! We spent two hours seeing every nook and cranny of the shops, with a highly engaged group of employees. They answered our every question so we could better understand the everyday challenges of keeping the cars and the railroad running. What a great tour!

What a fun tour.  I really like the look of their shops building, I remember seeing it on one of my rides of the Lynx Blue Line years ago when I had business trips to Charlotte.
