Former CNJ GP40P Remaining in Revenue Service

NJ Transit train 660 pauses in Dover, N.J. on March 15, 2024. Power is the 4100, one of three remaiining former Central Railroad of New Jersey GP40P locomotives that are still in revenue passenger train service.

Couple weeks ago I was in Atlantic City, at a rail crossing waiting....an NJT commuter emerged from behind a building with a paltry two coaches....and moving slowly...probably getting ready to spot up at the station.

When NJT is finished with these last three GP 40P's send them over to Amtrak as they still have too many problems with unreliable engines.
