Passenger Trains > Phase VII P42's Arrive the Bay - Zephyr Photos

Thanks to several tips, I was able to photograph yesterday's inbound California Zephyr as it arrived into the SF Bay Area. Leading were two of the freshly painted Phase VII P42's, making this the first time a matching set has led a train to the West Coast. 

Fortunately traffic wasn't too heavy for a Sunday afternoon which allowed me to keep ahead of the train. Attached are a handful of photos I made at: Bahia, Crockett, Berkeley, Emeryville.

The final frame after all of the passengers were off board and the train was en route to the coach yard. 

The set departed this morning on #6 for points east...

Very nice pictures.

I was traveling behind new paint 174 when it passed 138+82 in new paint in the canyons of Colorado.

I got a snap of three out of the four so far painted, together, but not in your league!

I've been eyeing that location from my Capitol Corridor joyrides recently. Great result there, and also from the previous ones. Nice chase, and nice report!
