Passenger Trains > Amtrak Wolverine 350 - Same Old, Same Old

It just keeps happening! How is it that we continue to have failures of the ITCS (Incremental Train Control System)... Without PTC, guess what speed 350(20) is making across Michigan today? Yup, 59 mph.

Only thing that makes this more interesting is that the same thing happened yesterday with 350(19), only 59 mph as well. Arrived PNT 70 civilized mins late. Good news yesterday was that the 355 equipment turn was able to leave Pontiac on-time... We can hope that happens again today.

When 350(10) operated earlier this month, also with ITCS failure at 59 mph, it didn't go as well... Arrived PNT 86 mins late. 355(10) equipment turn left IT 75 mins late...

After the fiasco earlier this month when 364/365 didn't make a trip because someone forgot to order replacement glass for the Venture cars, you think MDOT might want to raise the bar... Maybe not.
