wondering how Brightline can build in 4 years. Out Date: 04/22/24 16:24 Re: High Speed Line Las Vegas, NV, to Los Angeles Event Author: CPCoyote 2028 is incredibly optimistic. It’ll probably be closer to 2038.

on schedule. Out Date: 04/22/24 17:55 Re: High Speed Line Las Vegas, NV, to Los Angeles Event Author: goduckies CPCoyote Wrote:

The whole fiasco makes me glad that I'm not a fan anymore. As for Brightline making it by 2028, I think they have a good chance. The right-of-way conflicts are mostly with the Feds along I-15 and they are on-board, so that gives them a huge advantage. Fingers crossed they can pull this off. They generally equate Brightline with the CA high speed rail effort and comment it will never be completed and if it is not enough people will ride it to make a profit. As savvy readers on this forum know, there is no comparison in so many areas (land acquisition, permits etc. have been dealt with). One important point not highlighted is that Brightline West is in the business to make money. To that end, though rail profit is a goal, the big cash will come from building commercial property at their Las Vegas station site and likely out at their station at Victor Valley. My expectation is that if Brightline West pulls it off, the company will be given (well, purchased at a nominal price) the remnants of CAHSR and it will take over the project. Not a chance. The polititians will never admit they were wrong. Remember, the CAHSR project is a goverment works project. Benefits for the general public to get them from point A to point B is secondary. Date: 04/24/24 08:42 Re: High Speed Line Las Vegas, NV, to Los Angeles Event Author: ts1457 longliveSP Wrote:
