Passenger Trains > Heads Up - 32 car Caltrain set departing Warm Springs

For those of you in the East Bay Area (California), my reliable source has indicated that the 32 Caltrain gallery cars that were stored at Warm Springs Yard are preparing to head to Suisun, CA now on the Cal-P. Lone GEVO (UP 7840) is leading the train and at some point the set will be interchanged with Cal Northern where the cars will eventually end up at Schellville. 

Hopefully some of you can document this special move!

SSJSU 22. Looks like it passed East Oakland at 13:34.

The train is yarded at Oakland. At this point the plan beyond Oakland is unclear.

Waiting for the Bazos bridge pix, and the NWP handling the cars.  Does the NWP still have 2 engines for freight service.?

THE NWP DIED IN 2022

Just saw the UP UNIT WITH the Caltrain cars go the Martinez. I live in Vallejo, will be watching for them.

I wonder if the seldom used west leg of the Suisun wye will be used?

I don't believe there is any secure storage in Schellville.  It shouldn't take any time at all for these cars to be destroyed by vandals.

OK...whatever entity is running freight service on the former NWP.  I inderstand that its being opersated by smart now, but IDK what they call it? What railroad would be on the waybill as the destination consignee??

Still says Northwestern Pacific on the side of the MP15...
