How about a 707?

No, not that kind!  Here's Amtrak P32ACDM, having just arrived Albany-Rensselaer with train 49, the New York section of the Lake Shore Limited in January 2018.

Hardly a bug splat on the front end. Fine photo.

Thanks! Not too many bugs out in January 😀. In fairness though, Albany seems to keep their captive power much cleaner than other Amtrak facilities.

Amazing that the washers work in Albany in January, but not in Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, etc in July.

Is there even a car washer in Albany? I know there's a maintenance/repair facility in Albany, but wasn't aware there was a car washer there........The locomotives are serviced in Albany, that's for sure!

As for bug splats, it's January. Even in upstate NY, the bugs are largely absent then.
