https://wapo.st/3TxXraf Perhaps this link bypasses the payall. B&O Bill Date: 08/30/24 10:53 Re: Another "First person" trip Report Author: jp1822 Nope - I got the paywall. Used to be a subscriber, but dropped it!

Posted from Android Date: 08/30/24 16:34 Re: Another "First person" trip Report Author: bandob Sorry, I did not realize there a difference in paywall effects on operating systems. No trouble with iPhone. We are like the early days of railroading, with different gauges. Maybe some day we will have a standard system of communication.

I think it may be more correct to say people aren't going to risk putting card information on line to read one article that's probably a rehash of what's been sad for quite some time. I added up all the demands to pay, for a month, to read everything offered would cost something in the neighborhood of $150. No thanks...I've got better things to do than spend it on cheesy articles that don't say anything more than l'm ready was aware of. I just used that link and got to the article without issue. The illustrations are great, are nicely summarize what the trip was like.
There are over 1000 comments to the article. Most are ppl talking about their own train ride...but a good number who showed interest in train travel after reading the article. PS I opened up the link to this article with no problem. no pay wall. I am not a Wapo subscriber Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 09/01/24 13:37 by pdt.
