Passenger Trains > Washington Post article on transcontinental trip on Amtrak

I encountered no paywall. What struck me was the almost complete lack of any real complaining and nothing about timeliness or lack thereof. I found the persepctive interesting.

Maybe they didn't comment on the timekeeping because they're looking at this as a "Land Cruise" and not as scheduled transportation.

Maybe because they spent more time drawing cute cartoons - and coloring them in - than they did focusing on writing a meaningful article?

You got lucky.  I encountered a paywall on one link, the second link didn't work at all.

Posted previously.   I thought it was a nice , light hearted  look at train travel.  Lots of responses to the orig article, including interest from ppl who've never ridden a LD train before.
