Passenger Trains > Caltrain F40PH, MP36, AEM7s, Gallery CarsDate: 09/29/24 12:45 Caltrain F40PH, MP36, AEM7s, Gallery Cars Author: cchan006 I revisited San Francisco during the week to document the north side of Caltrain's 4th & King Station, because due to the "free" riding crowds last Sunday, I was busy looking for an open seat and forgot about documenting the parked equipment, so I sat on the wrong side onboard the Stadler EMU. My revisit remedies that, I hope.
We've had reports and discussions on the diesels, AEM7s, and other non-Stadler Caltrain equipments here on TO already, so this is simply a video response to all that. Taken on Thursday, 9/26/2024. I did the same thing, albeit on foot, on Friday. Walked 7th St. and then down Townsend St. taking pictures of the equipment in the yard. Too bad that AEM-7 with the Caltrain paint never put in any miles. So great looking and would have been interesting to just see it pass by.

That was coupled to the AEM7s? Jerry Martin Los Angeles, CA Central Coast Railroad Festival Date: 09/29/24 23:40 Re: Caltrain F40PH, MP36, AEM7s, Gallery Cars Author: cchan006 GP25 Wrote:

My guess is #910, "Millbrae" which was retired in 2021, being used for parts. Seems an appropriate location as a parts donor. I always hoped for a better and sportier livery for the AEM7s when Amtrak owned.......

Same for the signal bridge at South San Francisco. Date: 09/30/24 10:59 Re: Caltrain F40PH, MP36, AEM7s, Gallery Cars Author: stevef Caltrain is still running out the miles on the F40PH's. Number 915 "South San Francisco" and Number 917 "Gilroy were still used on the Gilroy to San Jose trains 811 and 809 respectively this morning.
