Passenger Trains > Number 10 On The MoveDate: 10/26/24 08:42 Number 10 On The Move Author: walstib I found myself sitting on the platform at San Jose on Thursday, waiting for Amtrak 14, the northbound Coast Starlight.
The train was late, and we ended up losing nearly 2 hours at Oakland when we stopped in the yard to fuss with a mechanical issue, but that's a different story. I saw plenty of trains while sitting in San Jose, including ACE 10, shown departing in this video. ACE 10 is the fourth, and final weekday departure from San Jose, at 6:38 p.m. Like all ACE trains, it runs to Stockton, but ACE 10's days are numbered. Beginning Nov. 18, ACE 10 will be abolished in favor of ACE 2, an earlier departure, at 2:10 p.m., ACE announced this week.
