Passenger Trains > The Lovelock Zephyr

Amtrak 6, the California Zephyr to Chicago, rolls into Lovelock, Nevada last night.

I think for a while, that was a passenger stop. 

The varying shades of purple are so cool.

The door indicator lights (green) add an interesting color contrast to the dark, purple-ish mood of your photo. Very nice.

Sitting in the Sighseer Lounge one evening with Lovelock receding behind us, a guy next to me yelled, "Wave hello to OJ!" Giving him the "huh?" glance, he explained that OJ was a longterm guest of the Lovelock Correctional Center on account of his Vegas exploits. 

That is a beautiful picture of the California Zephyr. Great job!

Was a crew change back in the 90s. Train not moving or very slow

A few years back as #50 The Cardinal went through Alderson, West Virginia, past the Federal Women's Reformatory, the car attendant said:  Wave to Martha Stewart!

In the 70s on the Lake Shore Ltd., as we passed through Ossining, NY, the waiters would always say to me:  Home of the Brave but not the free.   Sing-Sing Prison.

Those are the brake indicators. I don't believe that the Superliners have door indicators.

Yep, no door indicators on Superliners.
