Passenger Trains > Which train to ride in Florida?Date: 10/27/24 16:02 Which train to ride in Florida? Author: SantaFeCF7 I'm going to Orlando for my birthday and want to go for a train ride while I'm there. It looks ike I can take Amtrak to Tampa or Miami, SunRail around the Orlando metro, and Brightline from Orlando to Miami. Some of the Amtrak trips are only $9 one way. Just want to go for a train ride any see some parts of Florida I haven't seen before. I'd stick around an extra day for the Sugar Express trip but it's Santa themed more towards kids.

Amtrak is fine, and the low fares are no doubt caused by the emptying of the Miami bound trains around Orlando/Kissimmee on their way south and vice-versa headed north. So I am guess that the lower fares exist now because Brightline is better (and more expensive). SunRail seems fine, but typical.
If you can ride Amtrak one way to Miami and Brightline the other, you can make the comparison for us when you post your trip report. Have fun! Date: 10/27/24 19:03 Re: Which train to ride in Florida? Author: SantaFeCF7 Chessie1963 Wrote:

Author: Lackawanna484 If time is a consideration, you could take Amtrak to West Palm Beach and walk / Uber the few blocks to BrightLine station for the ride back.
