Date: 10/30/24 11:52 Re: No overnight sleeping Author: BobB As the writer Anatole France pointed out in the nineteenth century: "The law, in its majestic equality, forbids rich and poor alike to sleep under bridges, to beg in the streets, and to steal their bread. " Kicking people out from a warm place with no alternatives simply increases the penalties that go along with being poor. It may make us more comfortable by keeping them out of our sight, but it doesn't change their situation or show any concern for them as people.
