Passenger Trains > The CZ #5 at State Bridge, CO Wednesday

On vacation at Vail, and decided to drive over to State Bridge to see the California Zephyr pass by.  There's a nice little park there and viewing area.  Honestly, I think they could put a stop here for Eagle Valley communities.  Heck!  Eagle Valley airport is just as far from Vail as an Amtrak stop would be at State Bridge!  That whole area has exploded in population, especially with affordable housing being pushed West into Avon, Edwards, and Eagle.

Neat place to catch Amtrak's California Zephyr, train #5.  Love the Colorado River with ice.  Glad you got up to that quiet place along Union Pacific's Moffat Tunnel Subdivision.

Nice video!  Looks like three sleepers counting crew sleeper and only two coaches.
