Westbound Amtrak Winter Park Express departed Denver, CO, on time and was making its way west on UP's Moffat Tunnel Subdivision.  Meanwhile, I-70 was a parking lot according to webcam near Evergreen, CO.  Skiers will have fresh snow all day in the Colorado Rockies.

The cancelled many trains in the cherished NEC north of Philly due to 2" of snow earlier this week. Amazing they can run to Winter Park at all.

Folks in Colorado deal with snow four or five months a year.  Other parts of the country not so well prepared.  American downsizing continues with the work force providing less snow fighting capabilities.  Fortunately, Amtrak's Denver crew base is up to the task.

BNSF has a Provo, UT, to Denver manifest at Kremmling, CO, headed for Moffat Tunnel after the Winter Park Express clears.
