Sunset in Bristol, PA along the NEC
Author: Mgoldman

I was browsing through several files in my Lightroom catalog the other night, most
for the first time ever, despite having added them months ago.  I've been able to get
out locally for shots but some health issues have made screen time (editing) somewhat
problematic.  To my surprise and delight, this one just jumped out at me, requiring
a bare minimum of editing - exposed for the Sun, bumped up shadows, dropped
highlights and then boosted the exposure and; voila!  (It's rarely that simple when
shooting into the Sun vs having it over your shoulder).

Amtrak's ACS-64 No. 651 leads a train around the bend, northbound, through Bristol,
PA, at sunset a few minutes shy of Trenton, NJ on the NEC - taken back on January,
4th, 2025.

More to follow...
I seem to be working along the same pace as the Avelia Liberty and CA HSR.

I forgot to mention - note both the Liberty 1 and Liberty 2 skyscrapers in the background,
center.  Comcast's Technology Center can be seen as well to the right of them.  They are
roughly 21 miles away in Center City Philadelphia!

That's a beautiful photo!

The train in the photo looks like the Pennsylvanian on its way to New York.

Wow Mitch, that's the best case of right place right time I've ever seen!  Of course without you knowing the lighting ahead of time this would never have happened.  Simplay a stunning look at the NEC!!!!!

You know the saying - “The more I railfan, the luckier I get”.

It’s always a gamble but much less risk than the casinos, lol.

Thanks Mitch, very nice. Having the concept, being there, and execution hall have to fall in place.  Hope things go better for you health wise.
