Trains 3 and 4 are the normal way Surfliner equipment gets to and from Beech Grove. Date: 03/13/25 04:50 Re: Kiss and Ride? Author: 2ebright Where, exactly, were these photos taken What railroad? Not a single word about the location and this old man is a little confused.

Date: 03/13/25 06:58 Re: Kiss and Ride? Author: agent1522 They were taken in New Mexico. Los Ranchos/Journal Center is a station for New Mexico Rail Runner. It is on the BNSF (former Santa Fe) Glorieta Sub about 10 miles North of Albuquerque. New Mexico Rail Runner is a commuter service that runs from Belen, NM to Santa Fe, NM. It shares this track with Amtrak from Albuquerque north to a junction at CP Madrid where a new line was built to Santa Fe. A portion of that line runs in the middle of I25. At CP Hondo, the Rail Runner uses the Santa Fe Southern to enter Santa Fe. This is the former Santa Fe Lamy Branch that runs between Lamy, NM and Santa Fe. Santa Fe Southern, which is now owned by author George R. R. Martin, occasionally runs trips on the line. Both railroads use the former Santa Fe station which is essentially a visitor's center. It does have a model railroad layout depicting the area..

Author: Prophoto Hi Dick and I am sorry not to have been more specific about location in my initial post. But Agent1522 has explained it better than I could anyway. Here are two photos of the Railrunner, the commuter train between Belen and Santa Fe. The first one was taken at the station in Albuquerque and the second north of Albuquerque. (Train is southbound.) The graphics on the Railrunner trains are roadrunners, New Mexico's state bird. Just for fun, the third photo is of an adult and a baby roadrunner.

I had three Boy Scouts at Aberdeen, MD when a Metroliner came through at 125 mph. I had them stand well back from the platform edge. The train gave them a high-speed surprise.......
