Meteor at Ashland just now
Author: Chessie1963

I just watched a late Silver Meteor roll by the Ashland camera.  It was not filthy, but it was definitely not clean.  There was an extra coach and sleeper on the rear, and those were very clean.  Of course no one was in them...

Has anyone else caught an eastern train in person in daylight?  If so, please PM me or post here.

Thanks.

The several Floridian 40s I observed last week were grimy and filthy. Indiantown / Okeechobee FL near the point of origin.  The sets I recall had dining cars Raleigh and Annapolis.

It is absolutely disgusting how long the Florida trains have been dirty on the exterior. Where the hell is Amtrak management? One of my non-train friends saw the train in Tampa last year and said he wouldn’t want to ride that old rundown train. The only reason it looks that way is because it’s filthy.

That is good, because Ashland is the Center of the Universe.

Well, well.  This morning's northbound Meteor at Ashland appeared to be quite clean.  Very clean.

If anyone can lay eyes on the Lake Shore, Meteor, Star, or Cresent, please let me know about cleanliness.  I am on a mission.

Thanks.

I will try to take a ride over on Monday. If trains are running after the Boca Raton train crash

I believe Sunday 98 originates at Jacksonville

Thanks!

The Lake Shore at Elhart this morning sported a quite clean Boston sectiion, with a dirty NYC section.

My observations today suggest to me that both the New York and Chicago washers remain down, but Boston and Hialeah are probably working again.  I am not sure about Boston, to be honest.  But I assume there is a wash rack there.
