Passenger Trains > Vermonter stops at GreenfieldDate: 04/12/25 04:28 Vermonter stops at Greenfield Author: DavidP Here's a short video of yesterday's train 55, the southbound Vermonter, making it's stop at Greenfield, MA right on time at 1:36pm. I left the sound in for those who appreciate the GE chug.

I think there will be a couple more coaches added with the power change at New Haven. Dave Date: 04/12/25 08:43 Re: Vermonter stops at Greenfield Author: jp1822 texchief1 Wrote:

Unusual tunnel with the building overhead. Date: 04/12/25 15:54 Re: Vermonter stops at Greenfield Author: Peak45068 Very nice.
I rode 291 Poughkeepsie to Burlington yesterday and the consist had a P42 leading out of Penn! I had a few beers in Foam Brewing, then did engine 105 on today’s train 57 from Essex Junction to Meriden. I’m now back in Springfield after riding top and tailed P42’s on load 2 on train 488. That was a fast train!! Now in The White Lion Brewery in Springfield loving the North East IPA’s. Q: a couple of years back $ were invested by Commonwealth of MA (MassDOT), owner of the Conn River line in Massachusetts, in rehab of the double track high bridge over the Deerfield River about a mile south of the Greenfield depot. Do you know how fast the Vermonter can go these days when crossing the bridge - it used to be crawl over the bridge. I believe the 2 daily Vermonters and the two daily pairs of Valley Flyer shuttles are the only trains to use this bridge as all PAS freights here originate/terminate/pass through E Deerfield yard avoiding the trestle. Thanks. Date: 04/13/25 06:29 Re: Vermonter stops at Greenfield Author: aehouse Cars look clean.
