Passenger Trains > Coming, Going, GoneDate: 04/12/25 19:21 Coming, Going, Gone Author: Prophoto #4(7) on it's way east, on time, just north of Albuquerque. The cottonwood in the first photo is healthy, just beginning to bud despite the driest winter we've had in a long time. Sandia mountains in the distance in the second photo. Those trees are slow budders too.

Did LA have a few horizons being stored in LA? Jerry Martin Los Angeles, CA Central Coast Railroad Festival Date: 04/12/25 22:36 Re: Coming, Going, Gone Author: NPRocky That Horizon coach was almost no doubt the 54511, a Cascades Horizon sent by Seattle to LA probably six weeks ago, apparently for work of some kind that Seattle couldn't do. It was never returned and in this picture was almost certainly on its way to Chicago. I don't think there were any other Horizons in LA.

Water is a red hot topic in New Nexico. Those cottonwoods must get some ground water with Rio Grande being not fr away. Nice photos. Abq. and east to Trinidad a scenic and unique ride. I like that look of the Sandia mountains from the rush of the train's underside.
