Passenger Trains > Four PVs on 49(14)Date: 04/15/25 17:46 Four PVs on 49(14) Author: sethamtrak This morning I decided to venture downtown to see four Webb Rail PVs on the rear of 49. First we see 49 arriving. About an hour later the train shoved out for the wye. Luckily for me, the track work and momentary PTC issues allowed for me to hustle into position at the next spot near MH Tower with ease. I then went over to Stewart ave on the south leg of the wye to see them pull south, then to the stairs on 18th street to see them shove north into the yard.
NP 549 (dome-coach), NP 313 (dome-sleeper), Pacific Union (10-6 sleeper), NYC Babbling Brook (sleeper-buffet-lounge). I understand the cars will be leaving on 48 back to Albany this evening. I believe there were two electrical contractor trucks and around four people doing whatever they were doing. Maybe another month or two? Who knows. |
