Entire BART system shut down
Author: GenePoon

The entire BART system in the San Francisco Bay Area is shut down due to a computer networking issue. There are no further details nor any estimate of when restoration might occur. Other transit agencies are accommodating BART pass holders.

Nobody has as yet tried to blame it on Trump though I'm sure the lunatics are out there.

Per KCBS @ 0845 East Bay operations are back up again. They're working on Trans Bay and Peninsula services.  Service outage started at 0400 this morning. This is when BART starts their day.

Good news. It indicates that they do have a handle on the problem.

I wonder if they did a software update last night...

Interesting to watch the morning traffic report, looks like the work from home fad went away. Friday mornings were usually no traffic mornings because everybody left town on Thursday night, but not today.

Good laugh on that one.
Spent many weekends calling software support only to find they did a big S/W update Friday night and then left town.

BART service has resumed systemwide. Capitol Corridor passengers who connect to BART, expect delays as BART trains return to normal operation.

For updates, www.bart.gov/schedules/advisories

-Capitol Corridor (same governing board as BART)

Yes, we remember those days at many businesses we worked at. It probably still causes problems.

Yeah. Just like the lunatics that blamed everything on Biden. Or Obama. Or Bush. Or the Queen. Or the King. Or Putin.

Wait. Putin it is!!! Or Kim the 3rd or 4th or whatever he is.

That picture of Robbie the Robot sure looks a lot like the Vapor steam generators that I worked on in the mid 70s

1st post is a pic of Stephen Stucker, a great comedic actor from the movie "Airplane".

He unfortunately passed away in 1986.

That ain't "Robbie the Robot", this is a still from Lost in Space and he was just known as the Robot.
Who's most famous line was "Danger Will Robinson, danger!"

Good grief.  Yea, we all need instant gratification.  How dare anyone take more than 3 MONTHS to change everything after years of neglect and mismanagement!  The horror!

Chaos is a strategy.  Just ask NS about the CSX/Conrail merger proposal.  As I recall, the head of strategy for NS said that "We need to make them think we are f---ing crazy."  And it worked.  So be patient.  The trade agreements have already started to flow...
