Passenger Trains > #6 Eastbound Barr eveningDate: 05/09/25 12:14 #6 Eastbound Barr evening Author: skyview Was able to shoot Amtrak #6 being led by Amtk 187, going by my favorite little pond at Barr, CO, the evening of May 3, 2025. Hard to find much in the way of water features to shoot trains here in Colo. This utilized two flash setup. This is eastbound Train #6 about 25 min ish after sunset, providing enough light for clouds to show as well as flash to light scene and train.

Date: 05/09/25 13:48 Re: #6 Eastbound Barr evening Author: dan used to able to drive into the other side to catch 5 before it was a state park, denver sewage used to flow there , it is fed from the burlington canal for non locals, which originates near the denver's stock yards, at riverside cemetary. settle there before there were treatment faciltities . The stockyards waste would flow into the platte, turning it red , plus denver's waste, back when there were centralized meat packers thru the sixties. So the platte would be dry from the diversion point often, now it is dry, but denver's waste is treated and returned to the river bed a mile and a half down, and combines with sand creek. In colorado a lot of water moves below ground.
