Thinking of riding the Cardinal in early March. DC-CHI. How is she doing these days? Any days where sleepers just dissapear? Don't feel like curling up into an Amfleet seat!

Well, thats a good question, Please read the thread below of 51, and the Information On Amtraks Cardinal.

We are running a short consist as of now. 1-P42, Lounge/Cafe, 3 coaches.

Due to incliment weather and freezing of cars, 50/51 have been robbed of their cars. Just check back on the availbility of cars.

No Cardinal sleeper on the reservation system through Feb, but back Mar 3. I wouldn't bet the ranch on it nonetheless.

Rode #50 last Sunday. 11 minutes late leaving Chicago but made it to Staunton 10 minutes early. Sick
