Eveleigh something different

G'day All
A little different.I wasn't able to get all the engine in the stanchion is not high enough
but you get what I was aiming for.

Would you perhaps have a close-up photo of that
combination knuckle/link coupler on 5917? I can't
recall ever seeing one of those. I'm curious to see
how they work, and if the transformation from one
to the other is simple or complicated.

G'day I will get one in the near future, I know you just lift the link out of the way and pull the coupler
around to the centre and he presto you can couple to autos, it wasn't the only fitted with this sort of coupler.

i have the railroads instruction manual for these couplers somewhere around the house

if i find it i will post the relevant details on how to couple auto to drawhoook here

i think the railway companies in nsw victoria and south australia had similar types

When the former Spanish passenger trainset arrived in Chile, they fitted the station switchers with buffers, etc. to be able to move the trains around. Units retained their standard knuckle couplers too which are all that are used here.
