Looking for NZ Railfan magazine
Author: rschonfelder

Do any Kiwi readers recall an article in your magazine on all of the international G8's?  AKA a "Da" in your country.  I am trying to recall the name of the NZ Railfan publication and would really like to search out this article.

Thanks to anyone who can assist me.

Rick,

There was Rails, by Southern Press. Bob Stott was the editor. The other that I can think of was the newsletter by the new Zealand Railway historical Society (I think).

Hi Rick,

The DA Story ran over three issues of the NZ Railfan magazine in 1995:  in Vol 1 #3 and 4, and vol 2 #1

These were A1A-A1A G12s. NZ did have lightweight G8s also - the DB class, now rebuilt as DBRs, but I don't believe there has been an article on them in depth.

PM me if you don't manage to get copies.

Darryl
