Korean steam
Author: engine3420

This picture was taken by a friend who shipped out to Korea just before I shipped to Vietnam.  This was in 1965.  He sent it to my APO address and I kept this photo all thru my Vietnam tour and to this day.
I have no information as to class of engine or exact location of photo.  Please enjoy.

Thank you for the great picture.  I cannot tell where, but I may be able to identify what.  The round Hangul plate in front of the smokebox seems to say Tte-o 5 whichi is a carry-over from Japanized Te-ho 5, a shortened-to-two-syllable rendition of Ten-Wheeler, fifth version.

61 is the road nu ber. An example of Ten-Wheeler version one is in the following:

My old friend " Africansteam " says I need to improve the color so here is a slightly improved view....maybe.

I may be wrong again, but it looks like Ten Wheeler version 6, road number 61.  My apologies.
