Along the Lagoon

Estrada de Ferro Dona Thereza Christina Baldwin 2-10-4 No 312  skirts the edge of Lagoa do Imaru  with a train of coal for the port of Inbituba, Brazil in October 1979.

Is that the creature of the lagoon watching the train?   This where the Lagoa Hotel was/is?

Alan, the Lagoa is about a mile north on the Imbituba side of the bridge. See the lower right corner of the Google satellite view below. This shot was taken on the southern approach to the bridge.
