Jeceaba - a hot spot in Brazil
Author: pedrop

For those looking for action in a heavy haul railroad in Brazil, I recomend to visit Jeceaba, MG. It is the location where MRS railroad (broad gauge) crosses itself. The Steel Railroad (Ferrovia do Aco - FA) crosses over old Paraopeba line. Both lines are linked and many action can be seen all day. It is one of my favourite locations on MRS.

1) Locomotives C44EMi 3918 and AC44i 7280 leading a loaded ore at tunnel 70A on Steel Railroad , at Km 299. The ore is going to pelletizing.
Date: May 9th, 2013;

2) The same train approaching tunnel 70A;

3) the same train heading to the mines in the mountains in the background.
