Hi, pics of the daily limestone train using GDE class gondolas here in town. They have week day + 56 code. Since today is Saturday, the code is C756. C stands for "cargueiro" (freight).

I am always fascinated when I see these full size (width, height, and weight) locomotives on Brazilian narrow gauge. The track train dynamics must be challenging with so much weight hanging so far off the rails, would think that these units would really have a tendency to rock and roll. Keeping track with excellent line and surface would seem critical to keeping these units on the rails.

When I see these monsters on their comparatively tiny narrow gauge trucks I can't help but think "elephants in ballet slippers".

Tip=toe thru the tie plates, TTTTP.

Interesting contrast in size.
