Maybe all can be scrapped in 2018 since they will be sold to VLI that will trade them with EMD for new BB70ACe's.

Unfortunately, all DDM45's wearing that livery were scrapped. Now, only 35 units survives as Vale green livery.

Sad to hear of the impending demise of the remaining DDM45 fleet. I remember in my pre-teen youth seeing the news photo in TRAINS magazine when they were built. Don't know what the status of rail preservation is there, but I hope at least one of them gets saved. NZ Date: 11/24/17 15:36 Re: EFVM 1202: the last one (Brazil) Author: pedrop Yes, one or two years ago I wrote a letter to VLI chairman about the importance to sdave one DDM45 for posteriority and one unit was saved and sent to Uberaba shops to be painted and preserved at that shops. Unfortunately, it is empty isnde, with no prime mver and eletric traction motors. But the body shell is saved.
