Vale coal derails after hit a truck (Brazil).

I received the information that were two trains. The coal hit the truck, derail and hit tail of the grain in the other tracks. A big mess done by a truck driver.

After the derail the engineer was attacked by bees from a nest in the trees nearby. He is ok now.

Heavy haul, two tracks, heavy rail, concrete ties.  Meter gauge!

What is done in Brazil with a meter gauge railway is flat out amazing.  They said it couldn't be done.  But in Brazil they do it just fine.

The loaded run at 60km/h.The empties run 70 and are been tested to run at 80km/h.

Great set of excellent photos !  I would not have guessed that
so much big time railroading occurs on meter gauge track.  
The roadbed and track look immaculate.  Thanks for posting
