Hi all,

Some photos from the rest of July.

1. GWA units CLP17, 2210 and ALF21 wait to pull out of the grain siding at Snowtown on 7/22/19. The train will then push back into the crossing loop before the engines run around the consist and the train returns to Adelaide.

2. Pacific National GE's, NR45 and NR30 wait in the goods loop at Bowmans with 3AG2 loaded grain train to New South Wales on 7/23/19.

3. Passing 3AG2 at Bowmans is SCT service 2MP9 with CFCLA lease unit CF4403 leading SCT015 on 7/23/19.

Last lot.

1. GWA empty grain train, 4AK1 travels along between Mt. Barker Jct and Nairne on a wet and overcast day with EMD's CLF6, CLP17 and ALF21 providing the power on 7/24/19. The train was tavelling from Dry Creek to Tailem Bend where is would load most of the train before heading to Keith to load the rest. It was then heading to Gellong, Victoria to unload.

2 & 3. Under a clear winter night with the moon yet to rise, 3DA2 waits on the crossing loop at Burando in the South Australian outback about 215km north west of Port Augusta and about 40km west of Woomera on the edge of Lake Hart. EMD's GWA002 and CLF6 provide the power on this train, 7/31/19.

Cheers,
Justin

So is there any kind of system behind the numbers on the units?

I would say with the length and number of axles,  they would be more like a E unit that pulls freight than an F unit.
