Hammersmith has 2 stations. Picture 2 is the Piccadilly/District station. Picture 3 was still the station of the Hammersmith and City branch of the Metropolitan Line at the time of the picture - it''s now the Hammersmith and City Line and Circle station. The two are separated  by a 4 lane road!

You did well to get one of the Ruislip terminators on the Piccadilly Line! The 1973 tube stock still runs on that line, but all the other trains are relatively recently gone. And Westminster station has almost completely been refurbished.

Great group of shots. What is the purpose of the middle rail, a return ground? (or earth as they call it)
