Tokyo Sakura Tram Open House
Author: Hiroshi

There was an open house at Tokyo Sakura Tram Arakawa facility today.
Here is one of Sakura Trams approaching "Arakawashako-Mae" stop.
To get this stop, I was at JR East Oku station, where I saw these engines (Class EF81) at the facility there.

Actually, I started the day from Yokohama station.
At Yokohama, I was able to see both Northbound and Southbound NEX.
Then I headed for Oku station by taking Tokaido and Utsunomiya (Tohoku) line train.

Walking toward the barn, I came to this stop, "Arakawa-Shako Mae."
One in the left is heading toward "Waseda" whilst the right one is heading for Minowabashi.
Almost every five minutes, you will see them running.

As I was approaching to the barn, I found these welcome boards.

When I got to the back of the barn, already many people were there.
Found a workshop for "young generation of maintenance engineers working on the rails."
And another welcome board.

Through the shop, I came to the front side of the barn, where I was able to see this car, #8501.
Qued up there to take the photos.
Through a door at the distance, I was able to spot class 7000 wearing the good ole Toden scheme.

Vintage look car number 9001 was used as a photo studio.
Kids were in turn, wearing driver's uniform and cap, getting into the driver's seat to take photos.

symph1-san

Thank you for stopping by.

Behind the barn, there is a traverser, which is still used to shuffling the cars in the barn.
Actually, these two cars were just pushing into the storage area.so that we were able to photo them.

Great series of photo's.

A great public relations.   Few companies would allow this.
