International Railroad Discussion > A nice consist (Brazil)Date: 01/03/20 13:34 A nice consist (Brazil) Author: pedrop Hi, I found this V train (V is the code for MoW trains in VLI and Vale systems) parked here in town today afternoon. A BB36-7, three U20C and a GT46. I think the GT46 is going to EMD factory for some repair or inspection. The factory is about 60 km far from here in these same tracks.
1 - a rear view of consist 2 - a front view. The was no space to get the BB36 in this view. 3- fca 8504 is a former Norfolk Western / NS C36-7 Pedro Rezende Vespasiano MG, Edited 2 time(s). Date: 01/03/20 16:03 Re: A nice consist (Brazil) Author: pedrop Hi, it is Soicon cement plant. It is a group from Portugal that produces a cement called LIZ.
16 - Broad gauge tank cars. Nowadays they dispach cement in bags and most of the tank cars are leased to Holcim factories. 17- The silos had the Liz logotype and name before the last restoration. tomstp Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Pedro what is the large industry? It used to be in sacks weighing 80 lbs each. You still can buy it in sacks but they are probably sent by trucks.

On a similar note, are any of the Budd built passenger cars contructed in Red Lion, PA still on the railroad property there in Brazil, or have they all been retired? Date: 01/04/20 07:24 Re: A nice consist (Brazil) Author: goneon66 outstanding images pedro. thanks for the views.........

The train will be here until next tuesday.
19 - I like the BB36's front section. The ones derivated from old C36's are a bit different from the ones derivated from old B36's. These ones have larger porches over the trucks. 20 - The U20C's Pedro Rezende Vespasiano MG, https://youtube.com/c/minasgeraisrailways1 Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 01/05/20 06:32 by pedrop.
