On the narrow gauge what is the average speed in miles per hour and the same question for broad gauge? And what is the speed limit for both?

I'm trying to picture that train on the Cumbres and Toltec! Thanks for sharing. Date: 01/12/20 18:51 Re: Fuel train D717 (Brazil) Author: pedrop Hi, well we use KM per hour here. In the narrow gauge tracks of the best quality like Vale EFVM we can see passenger trains up to 80 km/h and freight 60km/h. VLI and other with poor tracks can run up to 50 km/h.
Broad gauge freight trains run from 50 to 80 km/h depending of the tracks. Vale and VLI broad gauge have good tracks and the speed is nice too. Date: 01/12/20 19:29 Re: Fuel train D717 (Brazil) Author: tomstp Thanks Pedro. 50 KM = 31 mph: 60km= 37 mph, 80 km=49 mph.
