Let's clean the tracks (Brazil)
Author: pedrop

Hi, with so many rains and winds these days in my area, the train crew must pay attention in what's coming ahead. Videos and pics by a friend of mine with an train leaded GE U20C's in the tracks near Corinto, MG in the line linking thec states of Minas Gerais to Bahia. It is about 170km from my town.

1 - Removing  a tree from the tracks. It is too far away to call for a track gang  to remove these trees,   so let's push them away.

WOW, that is crazy. You would think the RR would make an effort to cut that back to protect the equipment. Thanks for the videos, great work.

I read an article in the paper about the conditions there and thought of you.  Now I see first hand what they were reporting.  Windows need steel screens for protection (and possible glass breaking)

They should have pushed some boxcars through that mess first.

Hi there isn't place or time to switch. They use one locomotives to clean the tracks during the journey if the trees are not so big to the small GEs.
