I have a South African friend who is a retired dispatcher. Lots of story's of incompetence out on the lines due mostly to lack of training and general ignorance. When the Africaans and English were in charge, SAR/SAS was a first class railroad. Sad.

I was there on a multi-national consultant team working on safety. Yes, that to which you allude looks like the problem, but it is more complicated than that. Personal opinion, the situation we found was more related to the number of folks whose title included an M, a B, and an A than to ethnic origin. Maybe to some American rails, that might sound familiar. There was enough to fill a book...which I should probably not write.

When they are gone, the system will be like every other sub-Saharan rail system. Complete crap.

TAW is wrong, you are right. It is about "ethnicity" and intellegence. Sub-Saharan African IQ averages 70 - 80!

I was there with rails from several European countries. We did the work. You didn't. We talked to the people involved, you didn't. We started objectively looking at what was going on, with a lot of time spent on the road looking at the prople, procedures, management practices and other elements that can be learned from obversation. The instant case involves South Africa specifically, not Sub-Saharan Africa in general.Your approach is to bend everything into a tired old hateful narrative.
