Interesting - they have a LIDAR unit that gauges the distance to the end of the train and then closes the gap allowing it to couple while on the move.

Probably saves a fair amount of time. Even 20min of savings a few times a day adds up over a year.

So, who came up with that technology and produced a functional system?   Brazil...  China.... USA... ?
