On March 22, India shut down trains until March 31.

As of today India is in lockdown for three weeks, so presumably no trains until at least the middle of April.

that was a gutsy move by india in an attempt to not let covid-19 run rampant through their country...........

Any all domestic air travel as well.If you look at flightradar24, all you see are overflights.

I'm not a big fan of Mr Modi, but this sounds like somebody who gets it.

Imagine trying to ferret this thing out in a country like India. Go big (NOW) or go home. 

How can this even been enforced? Many people seem to be existing in shacks along side the tracks...living outside most of the time. Crap (literally) everywhere and all sorts of other garbage. Animals (mostly cows) wandering everywhere. 

The Indian Government simply closes the airspace, similar to what President Bush did after 911.  And the govt parks the trains.  
The towers at Chicago Midway and Las Vegas are closed, and it wont be long until the US Airspaced is substantially closed, Cargo will fly, but most everything else will be parked.    Wonder when Gov Cuomo will close the bridges to spare the rest of NY from the surge in NYC.
