I was thinking the same thing.  Brazil is gonna get creamed,  given that leadership hasn't done much of anything to separate people in the densly populated cities and the general  state of their health system.  Here's hoping for the best.

I wish people would stop saying this coronavirus is just a flu - it's not: from Ed Yong's recent article about the disease in the Atlantic:

The symptoms may be the same, but the disease sure isn't. And how many people die from the normal seasonal flu every year?
And we even have a vaccine for that.

COVAD-19 is going to be around for a long, long time. But hopefully between any vaccines that are developed and any "gerd immunity" that develops we should be able to deal with it in the future.

GERD is what HERD is when you misspell it. The words we were going for was herd immunity.

Now I get it!.. Kinda like a "gerd of hattle" or a "chock of flickens".
